Run the Runway

Cars will line up on the wide smooth runway of Booker Airfield, an unusual opportunity to use the full capability of an aeroplane runway legally! Drivers undergo rigorous briefing and will get ready to give their cars some good ‘exercise’.

After the quarter-mile marker chequered flags will designate the end of the run, following on to the slowing down phase, before turning off to the paddock and making way for the next display.

If you have an exotic car and would like to take part in Run the Runway – fill up your tank, sound your engine and contact us.

Static Display

The static display in the paddock will feature beautiful and interesting cars that are unable to run.  Spectators have the opportunity to get up close to these exotic motors and speak to the mechanics and owners.

Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin car clubs are expected to be present with members who own unique cars, the best of which may be invited to Run the Runway.

J40 Pedal Car Race

Sound of Speed is seeking budding J40 pedal car racers, up to the age of 11, to apply for the Sound of Speed J40 pedal race. The car does not have to be immaculate, however, it does need to be race worthy and can pass the unmodified checks. Normal attire is race overalls but helmets are not necessary.

The start is classic Le Mans; dramatic run across the track, a neat jump in and smartly pedal off. There is a chicane to negotiate and a laurel wreath for the first three drivers home on each of the two short sprints. There will be a live interview broadcast of the winning drivers by a celebrity and a chance to give signatures for all the autograph hunters!
